Surface Water Results from Ponds in Expanded Work Plan

January 22, 2021

Tyco today provided the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR) and property owners with the test results of surface water samples recently taken from privately owned ponds. These tests are part of a workplan submitted to WDNR for additional pond and fish testing, which was requested after the submission of results from three privately owned ponds near the Fire Technology Center (FTC) on November 5, 2020.

Consistent with previous results and our groundwater model, the pond closest to the FTC has the highest concentration of PFAS compounds in its surface water.

The data below includes the regular testing of water quality and PFAS levels approximately 10 feet upstream (SW-L06) and downstream (SW-39) from the interim treatment system in Ditch B and will be collected and posted on a regular basis for as long as conditions allow.
